Proofread with Prose

Ask Prose to check grammar, clarity, and consistency while preserving your voice.

Example prompts

Proofread the current chapter for grammar and clarity. Keep my voice.

Fix only obvious typos in the selection—do not rewrite for style.

See the prompt cookbook for more.

How it works

  1. Prose analyzes the chapter or selection you indicate.
  2. Each fix appears in the chat as a suggestion with a before/after diff, labeled by what it changes—Grammar, Spelling, Punctuation, Clarity, Word Choice, Consistency, Formatting, and more.
  3. Accept or Reject each suggestion; nothing changes in your manuscript until you accept.

Because every suggestion is a reviewable diff, you can see exactly what would change and why before it touches your text.

Control the pass

Prose follows the scope you set—tell it what to fix and what to leave alone:

Fix only typos and punctuation. Do not touch style or word choice.

Check dialogue for consistency: Mira never uses contractions.

Tighten prose

Shorten the selection by about 20% without losing key facts.
