What you can do

  • Write a chapter — draft new chapters or continue existing ones, reviewed before anything is accepted
  • Proofread — grammar, clarity, and consistency passes as accept/reject diffs
  • Rewrite or retone — a selection, a section, or a whole chapter (“more formal”, “20% shorter”)
  • Search your book — find phrases, names, or ideas in plain language
  • Analyze — word counts, readability scores, outline and structure; ask for an honest critique of a chapter or the whole book
  • Illustrate — generate standalone artwork, or ask for an illustration as part of a new chapter
  • Read your images — Prose can look at pictures already in the book and reference them
  • Skills — bundled slash commands and custom SKILL.md
  • Prompt cookbook — copy-paste prompts that work well

How it fits the app

You still write in Markdown and proof layout in Design. Prose helps produce and refine text (and illustrations); it does not replace your judgment on voice, facts, or sensitive topics.

Prose needs network access and an active Pinery subscription. Usage limits may apply on your plan.
